Season 2021-2022 is ready to start

Mestaruusliiga starts next weekend and we have two matches in Kangasala and Helsinki. LP Kangasala was very strong last season and Helsinki Volley is a new team in Mestaruusliiga.

Sotiris Gkotsis, How ready do you think our team is in these first matches?
And what is your overall feeling regarding the next season?

– The team is still in the pre-season phase and step by step we are adding new things to our game. In the friendlies in Rovaniemi we showed an improvement in the organization of our game and we are working so that we are ready for the start of the championship and little by little with the games to find rhythm.

– Kangasala is also  a strong team this year and one of the main contenders for the championship. On Saturday I expect a strong, tough and interesting game between 2 of the good teams in the league.

– Helsinki is a newcomer to the league and will try to establish itself in the league. We do not know much about them yet, but newcomer teams and young teams always play with enthusiasm at home and anything can happen. So we need a lot of concentration in our game as it is the 2nd match in a row.

– Overall for the season, it will be a bigger and more competitive season than last year with a lot of tough games. Our goal is to try to win every game, to play consistently and to develop our game, to be healthy and in the playoffs to be in our best condition.
